Andre, Putney.

I spotted these recently fly-posted Andre The Giant posters on Putney Bridge Road this week. Shepard Fairey's Andre is nearly twenty years old now and still going strong. Download and print your own at obeygiant.com. Fairey's recent Barack Obama poster is worth a look too.

Type hero

I've recently had the pleasure of working with letterpress printmaker extraordinaire and thoroughly nice chap, Alan Kitching. I was lucky enough to visit Alan's workshop, where racks of lovely wood and metal letterpress type surround working presses, and see his studio full of original prints. We've been working on some 48 sheet posters for Borough Market - results above.

On-brand grafitti, Dulwich.

This is my favourite South London brand. So far I've spotted three consistently designed removal vans, each of them red, hand scrawled and wrecked. Not sure I'd trust them to move my Stradivarius collection but I like them. This pic shows one of the vans after being eloquently defaced. I don't know what Mr £15 Van and Driver had done to deserve the windscreen 'twatting' but I was pleased to see that the brand guidelines had been adhered to.

Spotted on the tube. Very effective.

I noticed this on a Victoria Line tube train a while ago - the best sticker grafitti I've seen. I did a double take as it was such an accurate copy of the TfL style - Johnston at the right point size, right red etc. I laughed out loud when I saw it. Everyone glared.
